Telegraph names Turville as top village

BY John Gebbels

The Telegraph has listed Turville, a small Buckinghamshire village just across the Oxfordshire border, as one of it's smartest 'top pick' English villages in a recent article.

Eagle eyed viewers of Killing Eve, Vicar of Dibly, Little Britain and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang will recognise landmarks from filming locations in and around this wildly attractive and undeveloped Chilterns village.

The village has a good pub The Bull & Butcher, plus a forest nursery school and church and is located around 8 miles from both Henley on Thames and High Wycombe. Junction 4 of the M40 is within just 20 minutes reach.

For wine buffs a number of both new and established vineyards are also within striking distance and include Chiltern Valley, Oaken Grove and Hundred Hills. Local schooling highlights include Rupert House at Henley and The Oratory School at Goring.
