Oxford's Linacre College set for name change
Linacre College, one of Oxford University's 39 colleges may soon change it's name. Founded in 1969 Linacre College is currently named after Thomas Linacre an English Humanist, Classicist and Physician.
The change comes following the recent approval and acceptance of a £155M donation from a Vietnamese conglomerate. The BBC reports that the proposed name change will be made in honour of the company's chairwoman, but this first needs to be approved by The Privy Council.
