Spotlight on Buy to Let in Abingdon on Thames

Last week we completed on the purchase of a fantastic central Abingdon Buy to Let investment on behalf of Hong Kong based clients.

This convenient and attractive Thames side market town offers the ideal base for tenants employed within the South Oxfordshire science, innovation and research sectors, and is also within easy commuting distance via A34 (just 3 minutes from the apartment) to Oxford city centre (9 miles). Tenant demand for smart, modern and well located rental property is therefore consistently high.

The apartment we identified, negotiated and secured had been let successfully by a local letting agent for many years but was in need of some TLC so we are now embarking on a cosmetic refurbishment to ensure a premium rental. We anticipate the apartment being ready for new tenants from early December.

Set to yield a gross return of 6% and with a minimal requirement for additional future expenditure, we are entirely confident this investment will serve our overseas clients excellently as a long term UK property holding.
